Out of the gene pool (1)
If you believe in God and in miracles, I have a tip for you:
He’s a trained professional. Don’t try this at home!
If you really have to do that water-trick, then follow the bible: the correct order is:
first part the seas, then do your crossing.

Finally!! After all these years someone tells me what I’m doing wrong! I’ll try the parting first…. maybe I won’t drown this time.
Actually, he got his response from on high. Stupidity is not rewarded.
Here too is something that makes this story double odd: “He walked into the water, which soon passed over his head and he never came back”
Go ahead and try it: Go to the beach, walk into the ocean (or some nearby lake) and keep walking till the water passes over your head!
Can’t do it! Won’t work! Not unless you’re wearing some very heavy lead shoes or a scuba weight belt. Buoyancy will tip you over and you will soon find yourself swimming. Or at least waving your arms like mad.
Besides, any RATIONAL person trying to walk ON water (ok, that’s silly: rational people don’t do that) would probably soon realize that something’s not quite working when he gets knee-deep into the water.
