My blog’s right sidebar is too wide, especially for smaller screens; IÂ need to fix have fixed that.

You got a *much* nicer closeup of your blog on this device than the one you sent of mine!
I can’t tell, but I think mine all rendered pretty much ok?
Rob
That’s because my blog is *much* nicer! 😉
(I’ll see what I can do tomorrow, once I find a charger for that thing’s batteries somewhere)
Not really related to this post (although your image is still overlapping on the right on IE7) – but I see your Terms of Use/Privacy Policy page up there.
What *really* breaks if I turn cookies off? Will it force you into a diabetic coma? Will it kill your rats – er, cats?
Or will you just get hit by four freaking hurricanes in three months?
I really wanna know about them cookies. I stay awake at night over an irrational fear of cookies. I think it had something to do with this horrid show I was forced to watch when I was a kid – it actually had a “Cookie MONSTER” in it – and a large yellow damn bird… and aloveable elephant named Snuffleufagus…
Rob
Thanks for the layout remark!
(Likewise: check YOUR blog with IE6! Now the numbers of your list about helping your friends, are all chopped off on the left!)(On the other hand… my page renders fine on IE6, so maybe IE7 is broken (so is firefox!)).
My TOU page was VERY clear in stating that I do NOT know what will happen if you turn off cookies. Disabling them is YOUR loss, not mine.
If you ever call my cats ‘rats’ again I will disinherit you (now, THAT hurts, doesn’t it?).
As for your irrational fear, my dentist (when I used that EXACT same expression on his questionaire, asking me why I hadn’t visited a dentist in such a long time, and which visit ultimately lead to my being edentulous) told me the MEANING of ‘fear’: It stands for ‘Fear Ends All Reason”. So.. be reasonable… don’t fear me, don’t fear my blog. A cookie, as you undoubtly know, ONLY contains information that the sender of it puts in there. It doesn’t extract ANY information from the visitor, at least none that couldn’t be gathered from merely visiting a page.
We certainly share the fear of Dentists! I hate the f*ckwads, myself. Pretty pastel colors, soft music, pretty assistants – and then they rip your left leg out of your body through your nostril.
Next they extract a large amount of cash, smile with their pretty big white-ass teeth, and say, “See you in a month”.
Bastards.
Rob
My god, don’t remind me about dentists. Last week my face was so full of novacaine that I couldn’t feel one side of my nose! I head back this Friday to get the crown on… 🙁
Thanks guys, NO, REALLY, THANKS for reminding me…
hugs,
I no longer have fear of dentists (look up the word ‘endentulous’!).
As for the ‘next they extract a large amount of cash’ .. in my case that was not next. That was the VERY FIRST thing he did.
Still… after THAT and the edentulous thing…I like the guy! I can recommend him, I mean it. He’s a down to earth and experienced pro. Seen it all, done it all. Nice guy too. Real pro. And, okay, his assistants were nice too! Got a HUGE well meant hug, the last time I was there!
@deannie: “I couldn’t feel one side of my nose!”
My fear of dentists has NEVER been about things that I COULDN’T feel! It was ALWAYS about the things I DID feel .. and, because I like you, I will NOT get into details about that! (But let me share with you ONE utterence of a dental surgeon, while operating on me: “If ALL root points (lookup “root apex resection”) were like this, I should have studied law or bookkeeping”)
I HAVE BEEN TORTURED .. MANY times in my life!
hehe mannen en hun speeltjes 🙂
@Paool: Niks te speeltje! Daar verdien ik m’n brood mee!
