Katherine Harris revisited, or ‘talibaptists’
I have posted about this lady before. I just read another article about her. I strongly recommend you read this article, but the main reason for bringing it up, is to inform you to I am going to borrow a ‘word’ from it. From now on, when I mean to write ‘fundamentalist Christian zealot, I will write ‘talibaptist’ instead. It’s shorter, and I’m lazy.
A few more links:
Time: “Katherine Harris’ comedy of errors”
Wikipedia entry (Not very flattering. Also interesting: “During her first 22 months in office, Harris spent more than $106,000 for travel, more than … the governor.”
Slate: “Jilted. The Bush brothers kick Katherine Harris to the curb.”

Well, as someone somewhere stated: “If Harris thinks that God picks our leaders, she’s going to take her crushing defeat pretty hard..”
I trust you to find the time to remind her in due time 🙂
@injun (welcome!):
She already has, indirectly, expressed serious doubt about God’s ability to pick the ‘right’ leader, by pledging to use $10 million of her own money for the campaign.
I think I’m with the republican party’s leaders in their doubt that she may have a chance. Especially if you read things like this from her OWN campaign staffers:
– “tantrums” and “increasingly erratic behavior”
– “very difficult to work with. The more that we put her out there, the more she shot herself in the foot”
I have never met the lady, but the picture that I’m getting is one from a rich, spoiled rotten brat with too much money, no social skills, alienates her friends and lies and cheats whenever it serves her goals.
And this lady wants to bring integrity and ethics ‘back’ (as if it ever was there) into politics?
I’m afraid she’s about to waste her $10 million!
well, she *does* have great hair, you have to admit that. That was worth the millions she has poured in that little project…
@deannie:
Sure. Why not add something positive as well. Good idea! I like well-balanced views!
KATHERINE HARRIS HAS GREAT HAIR!
@injun: SOFAR, not much crushing defeat … http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/05/florida.harris.ap/index.html
hehehe, love this line from CNN: “Still, she won comfortably, thanks to weak opposition and a strong base of Republicans who loved her because of her role in the recount furor.”
