White Castle is *much* better! I would rather eat a previously frozen (from your local gorcier) White Castle burger than a fresh Krystals 🙂

Just my opinion.

I used to work at a Krystal’s when in high school. I had the same reaction when driving to Atlanta and seeing the first one. No one else in the family had ever eaten at one before.

Just, FYI, but a Krystal’s just opened a little while ago in San Antonio… I’ve only been once as it is over by Ingram Mall.

It read something like – we always pay our workers at least $2.50 per hour above minimum wage – and most of our workers who have been here more than one year make at least $10 per hour and with our “great” benefits package that makes their total compensation something like $14.50 per hour. Okay by me, but I still ain’t ever gonna eat there again!

OMG, their food is the best I have ever had (of this genre).

They are like $tarbuck$ in that they pay their employees a living wage so the folks there care and it shows in every bite. Take a peek at their “Secret” menu…sort of like $tarbuck$ secret language of ordering (I still don’t care what the hell a Vente is, give me a large), You can order hamburgers there in different sorts of ways. I always got my burgers ‘Animal Style’.

I’m beginning to fear that this, indeed, IS an unfortunate part of American Culture.
