“Controversial” is an understatement. Most geologists seem to think that the fault line doesn’t even exist. If it does, then it will only slip when the volcano is errupting (and we’re not due for another for about 150 years.) There will only be a tsunami if it all goes at once – but even according to those who believe the fault is there, in 1949 it fell 13ft and stopped. Incidently, nobody here seems to have noticed the ground they live on dropping 13ft.
So I don’t think you need to lose sleep over it.
